Dana Rucinski
DVM, Residency Trained In Veterinary Cardiology
Dr. Dana Rucinski attended Northeastern University in Massachusetts where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. She then changed her career path, going on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Mercy College in New York, and then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
After veterinary school she completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Tufts Veterinary Emergency Treatment & Specialties in Massachusetts. Deciding to specialize in Cardiology, Dr. Rucinski completed a specialty internship and residency at MedVet Columbus. Following completion of the program, Dr. Rucinski joined the MedVet Norwalk team in September 2022 where she performed echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures (patent ductus arteriosus closure, balloon valvuloplasty).
Dana is passionate about all aspects of veterinary Cardiology and finds joy in improving the quality of life of our companion animals.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Rucinski enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and multiple pets.
