Dr. DeLucia completed her Bachelors of Science from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD in 2003. She then obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. After obtaining her veterinary degree, she completed a one-year rotating Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, CT and VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Shelton, CT. After completion of her internship, Dr. DeLucia completed a three-year Internal Medicine Residency at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan and became board certified in Internal Medicine in 2011.
After completing her residency, Dr. DeLucia moved to Las Vegas with her husband to practice as one of only two Internal Medicine specialists in Nevada at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center. After two years at this practice, Dr. DeLucia and her husband decided to move back home to Connecticut following the birth of their first child. Dr. DeLucia worked at Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center from 2013 to 2016. She is very excited to join Newtown Veterinary Specialists as our Internal Medicine Specialist and Co-Medical Director as of May 2016.
She is looking forward to helping our hospital continue to expand into the foremost specialty and emergency hospital in this region and help us to continue to provide your patients and clients with the utmost care
